including pheasants, hawks, owls, turtles, roosters, song birds, some signed, the largest 11.5"h, the smallest 2"
Carol Ishimoto estate, Cambridge, MA. Purchased in the 1960's.
This technique of carving from a single block of wood resembles methods used by the aboriginal Ainu people.
