1788 New York bill of sale...in consideration of thirty eight pounds...one Negro man named Tom a Slave for life about twenty five years...; a Maryland 1792 reward..Ran away from the subscriber...a Negro Slave by name Samuel Gibbs....: a North Carolina 1822 bill of sale for Easter for $200 to Henry Cobb; a Mississipi 1834 appraisal of property inc. list of the slaves and livestock of Glover Johns; a Georgia 1834 bill of sale for a Negro woman named Mary and Child Pocahantas; and a Maryland 1856 document narrating the illegal sale of fermented liquors to salves Dick and Alexander.
