LARGE CHINESE MOUNTAIN LANDSCAPE PAINTING
vividly colored overview of temple structures in the clouds beneath green craggy mountains, below in a clearing by a gushing stream, surrounded by trees, a musician plays for a seated man. Inscription, signature and seals on left, ink and color on paper, painting measures 59.5" by 32.5" (There is a horseshoe shape of subtle roughage in the center-see photo; mounted on scroll paper which is deteriorating at top and bottom.)
Painting was purchased in San Francisco in the 1960's by the consignor's late brother, and has been rolled and stored for 30 years until now.
