From a Martha's Vineyard estate, needs cleaning.
Built by Palmers Shipbuilding & Iron Co., Newcastle, England in 1902 originally named
British Empire. Service speed 14 knots-2,290 passengers. Transferred to Uranium Steamship Co. in 1910 and renamed Campanello, Rotterdam-NY service. Torpedoed and sunk by German submarine off Northern Ireland in 1918.
