The Jeanselme firm was founded in France in 1834. Within 10 years it has acquired the renowned furniture firm of Jacob-Desmalter. By mid century, Jeanselme had become one of the most important cabinetmakers in Paris, and was Furnisher to the Crown under Louis-Philippe. The firm continued until 1930.
